Biography / Artist Statement

Best of Show at the 2025 Parker County Art Show for her oil painting “Go West Young Man”. ● Spirit Award at the national juried Spirit of the West Show for “Canyon of the Rainbow Goblins”. ● Other awards include the State Fair of Texas, Parker County Peach Festival, and the Winsor-Newton Painting Award.Diane Bolinger is a native Texas artist and educator known for her vibrant, color-driven work inspired by Fauvism. She holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree (BFA)from UTSA and spent 10 years in New York with the DC9 Painter’s Union restoring Historical Landmarks such as the Chrysler Building and Radio City Music Hall. She currently serves as the lead art teacher at Weatherford High School where she has been for almost 20 years.

Bolinger’s work is characterized by bold lines and an “exploding” use of color, often vibrant landscapes of trees and canyons using oils and acrylics. Her Ceramics vary from Black & White Sgraffi to Mobiles to functional handbuilt pottery.

Bolinger has received numerous honors for her work, including:
