Biography / Artist Statement

Bethany Fields is an artist, instructor, and creative entrepreneur inspired by the wild beauty of the natural world. Her pastel paintings are poetic reflections of place—cloud-dappled skies, golden grasses, and quiet light. Her work has been exhibited at the Salmagundi Club, the National Arts Club in NYC, and the Butler Institute of American Art in Ohio. She is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America, the Degas Pastel Society, and American Women Artists, and holds the title of Eminent Pastelist with the International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS).

She is the creator of The Beauty of Pastel, a beloved platform and community for pastel artists worldwide. Alongside her painting practice, Bethany offers courses, books, seasonal inspiration, and artist resources from her home studio in Texas. Behind the scenes, she’s been quietly building a place to gather all her offerings under one
thoughtful, artful roof, bringing together her work as an artist, teacher, and writer in a way that feels both rooted and expansive.

Her paintings have been exhibited nationally and are collected across the country. When she’s not painting, you’ll find her tending the garden, curled up with a good book, or hiking the rim of Palo Duro Canyon with her family.
