Vikki Fields

Biography / Artist Statement

Vikki Fields works out of her studio in San Antonio, Texas. She paints still life, figurative and portrait oil paintings, as well as plein air landscapes in Central, South and West Texas. Fields’ academic background includes a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Incarnate Word and graduate studies in painting and sculpture at University of Texas at San Antonio, the Houston Museum school and the Southwest Craft Center. She has exhibited widely in San Antonio and the Southwest. Fields is in public and private collections.

“My choice is to work from life. I find the color, the composition, and the psychology of life infinitely variable and challenging,” artist’s statement.
